1. In an emergency, do not use Acrocan
Acrocan is not an emergency medical service.
If someone may need immediate medical attention, do not wait for a booking, a doctor's acceptance, a home-visit response, a pharmacy request, a diagnostic appointment, an Acrocan AI answer, a Health Cloud record or our support team.
Go to the nearest hospital or emergency department, or call local emergency services.
Signs that need immediate in-person care include chest pain or pressure, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, difficulty speaking, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, seizures, severe allergic reactions, a serious injury, thoughts of harming yourself, and any situation where a person's condition is deteriorating quickly. This list is not complete. If you are unsure whether something is an emergency, treat it as one.
2. What Acrocan is
Acrocan operates a healthcare technology and coordination platform. It helps you find services, book them, coordinate them, organise records and prepare actions.
Acrocan is not a hospital, clinic, doctor, diagnostic laboratory, pharmacy, insurer, third-party administrator or emergency medical service.
3. Who is responsible for your care
Diagnosis, clinical judgement, treatment, prescribing, laboratory testing, report validation and medicine dispensing are the responsibility of the qualified professional or licensed provider who performs them.
The doctor you consult decides what is clinically appropriate. We never influence, direct or require a clinical decision, and no commercial arrangement we have with a provider changes their professional independence.
4. We do not monitor your health information
This matters more than any other sentence in this Notice.
We do not clinically review, interpret, monitor or triage your records, reports, messages or Acrocan AI conversations.
Storing a diagnostic report in Health Cloud does not mean a clinician at Acrocan has read it.
An abnormal or urgent result is communicated by the laboratory that issued it and by your treating doctor, under their own obligations. Not by us.
Uploading a record does not put anyone on notice of its contents.
Nothing in Acrocan is watching for a deterioration in your condition.
If a result worries you, or you have not heard from the laboratory or your doctor when you expected to, contact your doctor directly. Do not wait for Acrocan.
We may add features that display safety information or encourage you to seek urgent help. Such a feature is an aid. It cannot detect every urgent situation and must never be relied on to do so.
5. Acrocan AI: what it does
Acrocan AI can organise information, summarise context, explain what Acrocan offers, help you prepare questions for a doctor, and prepare a platform action for you to confirm.
Acrocan AI prepares an action. You review and confirm it. Our systems then execute it.
6. Acrocan AI: what it does not do
Acrocan AI is not a doctor. It does not diagnose, prescribe, choose treatment, clinically interpret a report, assess an emergency, or replace a healthcare professional.
AI systems misunderstand context, miss things, and produce answers that sound confident and are wrong. Read what it produces. Do not act on it as though it were medical advice, and never let an AI answer delay care you need.
Do not use Acrocan AI to decide whether a situation is an emergency.
7. AI and your medical records
Acrocan AI can produce summaries and organised views of your health information. A summary is a convenience. The provider-issued prescription, diagnostic report or clinical note is the source record. A summary is labelled as a summary. It never replaces, alters or overwrites the original, and a summary is not what you should give a doctor when the original is what they need.
8. Diagnostics
The laboratory or diagnostic partner named in your booking is responsible for collection, sample handling, testing, technical and clinical validation, and issuing its report.
Acrocan storing or displaying a report does not mean Acrocan performed the test or checked the result. The report identifies the laboratory that issued it.
9. Medicines
Licensed pharmacy partners are responsible for checking prescriptions, deciding whether they can lawfully supply, dispensing, and complying with the law that applies to medicines. The pharmacy is the seller.
We do not ask or enable a pharmacy to bypass a prescription or dispensing requirement. Some medicines cannot be requested through Acrocan at all, and some cannot be prescribed in a remote consultation.
Take medicines as directed by the prescribing doctor and the dispensing pharmacist. If you receive something that does not match your prescription, do not take it - contact us and the pharmacy immediately.
11. Before you confirm
Check what you are confirming - the appointment and the provider, the amount and what it covers, the records you are sharing and who receives them, the medicines in a request, and the test you are booking. Confirmation is the step that makes it real.
